So excited for this very first post!

Welcome friends! We are so excited to kick off our blog with you. Over the past few months, I have really been feeling led to share our journey out of debt with you and to encourage you to join us. We are far from perfect but we have learned a lot about marriage and money throughout this time and we simply want to encourage you to grow too. That being said, get ready for some  marriage and money advice, fun-filled adventures and some downright silly stories from our journey.

We want you to have hope and peace! Even at this stage in our journey, it feels so wonderful knowing that an end to debt is near. Step by step it feels like this weight we have been carrying is getting lighter and our marriage is only getting better. Although the process has been challenging (delayed gratification is tough), we are firm believers that we are going to be much better for it. To this point, it has been completely worth it.

We are especially excited about OurMarriageCents because we believe that God has given us a heart to teach and that He has given us a true passion for financial freedom and the desire to encourage other marriages to grow and to thrive. We truly believe that this is one way that He is using us in the gifts that we were given.

I am also super excited because the funds to start this blog were gifted to me by my husband for my birthday. My husband Luke is my best friend and his leadership and support within our relationship has been more than I could ever ask for. He is such an exceptional man and I thank God everyday for the incredible blessing that he is in my life.

I wouldn’t choose to go through this intentional journey with anyone else. Throughout this blog, we want you to see that getting rid of debt is completely doable, no matter the amount, no matter what you make. We can’t wait to share some of Ourmarriagecents.
